This April is Second Chance Month. A past conviction can continue to limit access to jobs, housing, and opportunity long after a case is closed. At the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, we work to remove those barriers—both in and out of the courtroom. In addition to defending our clients, we provide free record clearing and expungement services to support long-term stability. Today is Farmworkers Day in Los Angeles County. We honor the hands that feed our nation and the many voices that have long fought for dignity, justice, and a better future for all.
In observance of Farmworker’s Day, our Offices are open with limited staffing. The Superior Courts will be closed Tuesday, March 31, and will reopen Wednesday, April 1.
